Before the storm
This morning I went swimming in the ocean
The water was cold, clear and calm
And so was I
On the sandy bottom lay something still
And it caught my eye.
Not glamorously shiny but dark as the night
Holding my breath and diving down
Deep and deeper into the unknown
I did not expect to find you there
Your smile took my breath away
And I drowned
In those watery blue eyes
From below I could see the light
And I loved
How the sun played with the color of your hair
Only for a moment you touched me
And I woke up
Laying on the sand
Later that night, while walking home
I thought
How am I going to tell where I've been today?
